Mantras
Mantras are words that may be repeated over and over again while meditating. Mantras provide a point to focus on and help increase concentration.
Repeating the Mantra in stressing everyday-life situations, may bring calm and relief because the Mantra is associated with the relaxed state of meditation.
Some mantras are mystical to the meditator (may be in a foreign language) and others are in understandable languages.
I prefer to use a mantra that has a meaning to me in a language that I understand.
Mantra: I mainly use the simple Mantra “peace and quiet”
On the inhale “(1) Peace (2) and quite“
On the exhale “( 3) Peace (4) and quiet“.
“Peace and quiet” meaning a peaceful-heart and a quiet-mind so on the Peace I try to focus on the heart and on the Quiet I try to focus on the head.
Affirmation Mantras
Mantras may be used for affirming. Repeating the Mantra again and again may help in realizing and accepting a wanted change.
